Mary J. Murphy possesses an enegetic style and fresh perspective that has won kudos from clients now living in their dream homes. Despite fluctuating markets and entering the profession when many realtors were heading to the hills, Mary's sales remain steady as she anticipates another solid year.
"She has a knack for presenting and pricing homes, " says Allied President/Broker Eric Hough, who describes Mary as personable, professional and service oriented. Clients agree, consistently commenting on the instant makeovers she gives homes when her design team stages them for the market, and marveling at the number of times sellers get to juggle multiple bids on their homes.
Mary also is an expert in helping clients navigate the regulatory process of new construction, which is particularly beneficial for those seeking a custom built home. She is adept at sheperding clients through the pros and cons of tearing down their house or selling their current property, taking into account factors such as the equity in their homes and what type of home they envision in the future.
This Bethesda native who survived both chicken pox and Ms. June's tough love in first grade at Wyngate Elementary School, remembers the many valuable lessons taught in her early years. If the Wyngate school taught her how to behave, her father, Steve Jacoby (a local real estate veteran), was instrumental in mentoring Mary in the many facets of this profession.
An expert multi-tasker, Mary is also a wife and mother of three. If she gets really, really good at real estate, she will retire to tour the planet on her bike, with her home base (a more modest yet custom-built cottage) nestled amidst the "Pines" of Rehoboth Beach.
